Praying... I so often pray for my husband during the day but do I PRAY. I was reminded in this dare to pray for his heart. Often times i get angry when he is not who I want him to be but I don't pray for who God wants him to be. I love him with all his funny ways and socks on our bedroom floor but I love my man of righteousness so much more. I need to pray that he seeks God for all his glory. Each day of the are I have learn something about marriage and our walk of faith. What a powerful testimony I will have.. No I have
Praise God you recognized you must pray for Gods will in your husbands heart. It is hard especially when we are angry and hurt. I posted a great prayer I got in my daily devotional in my journal. Please check it out. It's helped me a lot.
We are all learning every day how to genuinely pray for our spouses especially because they are not where we foresee them to be once they commit themselves to Christ, but we have to remember that Christ always meets us where we are at. He loves us just as we are. We are to do the same for our spouses. In addition to the prayer HKOakland posted in her journal, I also recommend the book, The Power of a Praying Wife. A dear Love Dare friend gifted me with it and am so thankful for it. Life changing!
Praying for him no matter what the situation is will help strengthen your unconditional love for him.....as well as help you learn what Christ has done for you by loving you even when you rejected Him.....loving YOU...singularly....by name....
Sometimes when things are tough we pray out of selfishness. For example, when we pray for our spouses heart deep down we are praying that if they take the journey we are everything will be ok. So, to prevent that and really see where our heart is for our spouse, at times it is just best to pray for Gods will in their life. And the ability to understand and accept it.
