Day 49: Love Makes Good Impressions

Greet one another with a kiss of love.

—1 Peter 5:14

Today's Dare

Think of a specific way you'd like to greet your spouse today.  Do it with a smile and with enthusiasm.  Then determine to change your greeting to reflect your love for them.

Since starting round 1, I have changed the way I greet my spouse in general. I always try to reflect love and happiness instead of showing on my face how hard my day really was. When I see him, I change my face to reflect that he has just given me the biggest gift ever by entering the room. In other small subtle ways, after our prayer and devotion time at night, when he is all cuddled up under the blankets, I lean over and kiss him softly on his forehead before I cuddle up next to him.

Today is Sunday, so of course it is his day to sleep in. He only got up 11.55 am!! LOL I was happy to see him and so were the kids. He already made himself coffee and started on scrambled eggs. I wanted to make him some toast to go with it, but he already had the bread ready in a plate. I asked him if I could do anything, he said yes, sit down and relax! He makes me smile….

We had a great day together. I love to watch him when he is watching the kids play. His face lights up! We talked about a few things too. It is great to dream together! I see changes in him. He is getting closer to God.  It makes me love him even more. He “attends” bible reading and prayer at the kids’ bed time every night, without our son asking him too now. Together as a family.

Praise God for all the positive changes in our lives.

  • This really spoke to me......  "When I see him, I change my face to reflect that he has just given me the biggest gift ever by entering the room"  WOW that's a great way to look at it. Thank you!

  • :-)

  • That is awesome..  You testimony is still most critical to him.
