Today's Dare

For today's dare, get two sheets of paper.  On the first one, spend a few minutes writing out positive things about your spouse.  Then do the same with negative things on the second sheet.  Place both sheets in a secret place for another day.  There is a different purpose and plan for each.  At some point during the remainder of the day, pick a positive attribute from the first list and thank your spouse for having this characteristic.

The list of positive things about my spouse is a lot longer that the negative. In fact, the negative is not even as long as it was the last time. Looking back, thinking about the things I wrote done in round 1, I can’t believe how selfish some of those negative things were. Selfish for seeing them as negative!

I had to work late today, it was unplanned. School is closing for the holidays today so my Daughter is coming off school early. I spoke to my husband and he said that since he is on early sift anyway, he will just leave work a little bit earlier than normal, to pick her up. When I realized that I will have to work late, I Skype’d him about it, and he said not to worry, he will pick our son up as well.

I realize the sacrifices he was making in this last week is amazing, all for my benefit. That was on his list of positive things too! So later when we got into bed. We had our prayer and devotion time and after, we spoke for a while, I thanked him again for picking the kids up, then I thanked him for being so supportive of me and for all the sacrifices he makes for our family.

God was definitely with me throughout the day. I felt calm when I heard I had to work late, and didn’t get worked up over the things I could not control. Praying on everything and seeing God’s work/answers almost instantly is amazing!
