Day 6 - I Was Supposed to Do a Dare Today?

  • Comments 4

Today I was overcome by my mind.  It wondered like crazy thinking of all of these negative "what-if". scenarios.  I spent 90% of my day talking to Godly friends, seeking wise counsel, and even called a few prayer lines to help find peace and to have others fighting with me.  I was kinda down, but now I'm back on the upswing.  Now let me see what this dare is about today...

  • Thou will keep him in perfect peace.. whose mind is stay on Thee. Isaiah 26:3. It is okay you are now looking at the Dare. I am guessing you needed to call and talk to the people in your life who can spiritually encourage you. Those people in your life are important.

  • When the mind is filled with emotion, we can be lead by it, and when we turn back  to leading our emotions by Going to God, we find that peace of God that we need.

  • During these moments or days of being in turmoil, you may feel like you need to take a step to correct the marriage or to do something about the marriage, but in these moments, do nothing but Be still and know He is God.  And when the emotions simmer down, that is when you can be lead by God and then you will often see that no decision or action needed to take place after all.

  • This is straight from my therapist- Get rid of the "what-ifs." They will devour you. Live one day at a time. Work on yourself. You can't do ANYTHING about what another person does, BUT you can control yourself. You live the way you know God wants you to and everything will fall into place. The least that can happen is that you will grow in Christ which ironically is also the BEST thing that can happen.

Do not worry about tomorrow. Tomorrow will have its own worries. The troubles we have in a day are enough for one day.

    Matthew 6:34
