Day 48, Round Two! Love is not jealous!

  • Comments 1

I have always been my husbands biggest fan, I just didn't know how to show it in the past which is part of the reason we are where we are now. For the past 48 days I have been trying my hardest to show him that I love him and that I will always be his biggest fan and supporter. However, none of that matters to him anymore. I continue to show him though because that what Jesus does with us. What I did to complete today's dare may sound silly to some but for me it was important. Lately my husband has been so discouraged because after bills, he never has much money left over to enjoy. He took it upon himself to change the way we pay things and it actually is working as far us saving money. So today he had $100 more left over than he usually does and he was excited about it. So I told him how happy I was for him and how proud I am of him. He didn't respond (I sent a text and I know I shouldn't have but I was so excited to say that to him right there on the spot and via text was the only way at the moment due to us both being at work) but I will continue to encourage him and cheer him on along the way :)

  • Since he text you the good news and you could not respond by a call, then I would say it was appropriate to text back to give him a response.  Because not responding for a long time would not show kindness and could be easily taken as being rude.

You think he thinks none of it matters any more.  That's having expectations of him, thinking in the negative room, and not being a fan of his.  Remember what he says half the time he won't remember or really understand what he's saying.  Our spouses aren't really thinking clearly at all.  Sometimes it is as if they have mush upstairs.

If he didn't care at all would he have sent you that text?  And he wont' respond and show he's let his guard down by sending you two unnecessary texts back to back.

Thank God for the text from him with the good news and let God know you enjoy Him all the more.
