Just thought I would write something since with my friends wedding and the weekend I may not get on until Monday morning.
As many of you on here are women, and women with children, I wonder how this weekend will turn out for you. I pray that it turns out well, though at least for a few the expectations you have of your spouse or children may lead you to despair.
For those that have great weekends, praise God! Give thanks to Him for the peace and comfort you have.
For those that have less than stellar weekends, praise God! Run to your Daddy for your comfort, rely on knowing He will and does provide you with all the love you need to continue on in raising your kids the right way. Do this as soon as those all too familiar feelings set in and the rest of your day will be better. Trust in Him, no one else. Lose your expectations of receiving the love from your husband and/or kids that you have been craving. You may find that losing the expectations you had will bring a new outlook on your family. You may find peace in the storm on Sunday.
Just know that this weekend, no matter how it turns out, you are loved, you are appreciated for what you do day in and day out. No matter who says it, you are.
You, mothers who have raised us to the men and women we are today, I thank you with all my heart.
Jason
Beautiful. Thank you, sweet Jason.
Thank you Jason.
Your words means the world as I am sure they were inspired by the Lord. My hubby is not the kind to go out of his way on showing appreciation, thats how they live in the family he was raised in and i come from the back ground where there is no shortage in hugs and kisses and showing affection.
It used to be very lonely for me in the first few years in my marriage but now that i understand that we cannot give what we dont have, I have abundoned all expectations. I instead do everything to pour out the love i recieve from God to him and not expecting anything in return, and God has worked miracles in him and at times i see he try to be more forthcoming with his feeling and for that I praise God.
For every one here I hope you have a blessed Mother's Day.
Jackie.
