Love is Honorable Round 4

Letting the dares mold you...it’s funny to think of it that way "letting" but really that is the truth, we don't have to let God mold us, we can fight him, but just as the Israelites did in the wilderness you will die there.

We have two choices, we can follow Jesus through the wilderness being molded into his likeness, or we can resist him and do our own thing, the outcome of the wilderness experience is the same we will all die in or out of the wilderness; out is only in surrender to him. If we do surrender to him, he is faithful to complete the work he started in you.

This surrender is different for each of us, we all have different baggage to give up to him, He takes the broken and torn hearts and replaces them with new (not repaired). God is in the business of fixing broken hearts.

We can’t begin our journey in the wilderness until we have surrendered but we can’t surrender until we have truly forgiven those who have hurt us, Forgiveness is key, and you cannot forgive if you cannot love.

1 John 2

7Beloved, I am writing you no new commandment, but an old commandment that you had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word that you have heard. 8At the same time, it is a new commandment that I am writing to you, which is true in him and in you, becausea the darkness is passing away and the true light is already shining. 9Whoever says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in darkness. 10Whoever loves his brother abides in the light, and in himb there is no cause for stumbling. 11But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

  • That life long process of being molded.  Hard to fathom.  I have been on a path more so lately seeking forgiveness from Christ.  and that is helping the molding process.  It's crazy how most all of us go through years or even a lifetime of confessing the same old sins.  but what is key is we keep going back to Jesus through our confessing and  turning  our back to  sin the best we can.  To me, this has been a big part of the molding process as of late.  and when God forgives you, it's hard not to forgive  others.
