Dare 6R3...Not Irritable

Today is my first day without a smartphone in my pocket, nearly all day, and I will be making a charging station in the dining room instead of by the bed, and I will switch to a regular alarm clock.

I went to town with my mom to pick up my dad from the airport and eat dinner. My little brother his wife and daughter ate with us, it was such a great time, I miss times like those with my family, and look forward to good times someday in the future. I had a really good day, I worked in the my MH's blueberry garden and got an oil change done on my car.

The wife fo the pastor of our church sent me a note through my mother:
...At times God will be our only witness to our righteous behaviour. Sometimes God is the only one who will understand your motives. Sometimes you will do all you know God has asked you to do, only to face ridicule from others. At such times all you can do is maintain your integrity, trusting that God always keeps His eye on you. God looks favorably upon those who walk with integrity, doing what they know is right, regardless of how others perceive their actions.
The most important thing is not that people know the truth. The most important thing is that you are a person of integrity before God. When no one seems to understand why you have done something or when others question whether you have all you should have done, your confidence should not be in the hope of vindication in the eyes of others. It should bee in the knowledge that God keeps you in His sight. if you have this confidence, it will be enough to sustain you.

I think it is a good reminder that this is a trial that is intended to bring us to make a decision, ether to follow Him or chose our own way, when we came to this point we where siting on the fence and God says "pick a side"

  • Good note she wrote. And often people or our spouses will have no idea how much we have sacrificed.  But, also realize that somehow our spouses sense what we do, hear what we do through others,or somehow find out about the new goodness of Christ in us.

But the best thing is we in this community do not do the goodness for recognition or as we mature in these dares to necessarily win our spouse back, but we do them in obedience to Christ's will.

  • That's a great note. Someone is noticing. Even though that's not your goal, it happens. People notice. I've experienced that too. If you remain in God lives around you will change. I'm so happy to see this in your life.

I was actually mostly on the other side of the fence. I didn't want to listen and I was not a good person. I honestly believe if God can change me He can change anyone. That's why I have hope for my wife, for you, for your wife, for all of us on here.

We do do this for Christ. I tell what I do on here because we are all basically anonymous and help each other. I don't feel bad telling that I had a good day, or I prayed, or fasted. I feel like an example for you guys and man do we need each other on here. I especially need you all to hold me accountable when I say or do something stupid.

  • Thanks guys, I am thankful for this trial, I know that God holds me and sees me and that is all that matters. His face should be all we seek and long for.
