Round 5 – Day 38 – Love Fulfills Dreams
“Ask yourself what your mate would want if it was obtainable. Commit this to prayer, and start mapping out a plan for meeting some (if not all) of their desires, to whatever level you possibly can.”
In addition to the last four rounds’ dreams already on the “map,” I was given a new one to prepare for this round. The ‘dream’ actually presented itself yesterday, but wanted to ensure it was aligned with His plan, so this morning I prayed that without a doubt I would know it was from Him.
Today was the start of my ‘vacation’ – thankfully I do not have to go back to work until next Tuesday. It was a relaxing day. This afternoon I received confirmation from my lung doctor I do not have TB (was one of the tests taken from my lungs), but still not quite sure what the infection is in addition to the staph infection already confirmed in my sinuses and lungs. I am praying the specialist I was set up with will have some answers, so we can kick this thing square in the face.
I also got a text from a girlfriend who I haven’t spoken to in two months. This was confirmation of the dare. Now to bring it all together – yesterday I was looking at some pictures my girlfriend had posted on facebook of her and her husband’s three day motorcycle trip with a riding group from my old church called “Champion Riders.” I thought how cool is that? Weird, I know, because I am still not into this whole bike thing especially with how it all went down, but I was really digging the whole riding for Him gig. Although I do not think that is my husband’s ‘dream’ in particular since he is not a believer (mountains still moving) – mentally preparing me to ride with my husband very well could be – something for us to do together that he really enjoys. The reason my girlfriend’s text confirmed this was in alignment with His plan for today was because I hadn’t heard from her in so long and she was the link to me finding “Champion Riders.” Not to mention when I asked He gave me my strong “yes” feeling.
Contact with my husband just consisted of a text late this evening asking if my appointment was today. I am looking forward to seeing him tomorrow though since I am leaving for the ocean by myself for a few days after my appointment.
It's good they eliminated one thing.. But seek Christ in the rest of the outcome.
About the motorcycle. You see your response to your friends pictures. Now here is something to think about, your reaction to your husband the whole time he wanted one.... Is it selfish? Jealousy? Or could it be flat out control? Not saying it is any of these but it is important that you seek out the reason of your disagreement about it and commit to Christ for the comfort. And if an apology is due, forgiveness is important.
Wow. I think you should share that with your hubby. How you heard from your friend and their Motorcyle trip. Could be an amazing way to support your hubby and love him uncondtionally. Praise God!
