118—Love always Fulfills Dreams
“Ask yourself what your mate would want if it was obtainable. Commit this to prayer, and start mapping out a plan for meeting some (if not all) of their desires, to whatever level you possibly can.”
I was a bit surprised when I woke up this morning remembering the dream I had. It was not good and reminded me of a conversation a friend and I had recently about what dreams mean from a Biblical standpoint. I have been meaning to research it a bit more…
I had the day off due to a doctor’s appointment. I was supposed to have counseling as well this morning, but had to reschedule. I decided to take some time before my appointment to go to Starbucks and do my devotions. As I was reading them the thought came into my mind again that I need to task myself to really look into dreams from a Biblical standpoint. Then I start reading my Love Dare chapter for the day, "Love fulfills Dreams." Though it is not an exact parallel to dreaming at night...I still thought, how ironic.
When I got in the car to head to my doctor’s appointment I prayed for His guidance and wisdom to complete the dare by His will. I had no clue how I was to complete it yet…
Now, on my way to the doctor’s office…I have been to this doctor plenty of times, so I know exactly where his office is at. As I am driving down the hill - I pass it. So I turn around and go back up the hill...what do I do again? Pass it. I literally said out loud, "What is wrong with me?" Then staring right in front of me was an office sign - "Infinite Possibilities Family and Marriage Counseling." Are you kidding me?? I asked God if that is WHO He wanted me to check out for my husband and I. Got a STRONG yes. So after my doctor's appointment I went online to check them out. Completely Christian based. Wow! I have a message into them. They work with a lot of Employee Assistance Programs, so checking to see if mine is on their list for coverage. I know if this is what God wants, it will work out! You know I've been praying for guidance and wisdom on this...perhaps this is my answer. I have no clue how this is all going to play out because my husband is dead set against a Christian counselor...all in His hands.
After looking up the counseling information, I did some research on dreams. Found some pretty good stuff. If you are interested you can download the info via: http://tinyurl.com/74dmaca. What stuck out at me most was—"We both had dreams," they answered, "but there is no one to interpret them." Then Joseph said to them, "Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell me your dreams." (Genesis 40:8). Just as with everything, give it up to Him. Seek, knock, and He will answer.
Next on the agenda was lunch and manicures/pedicures with my mom, aunt, and cousin. Before I left the house I prayed again about the dare. On my way to meet them for lunch He answered. While I was in Hawaii my husband talked about going on a trip by ourselves. He then brought it up again this week when I had invited him to San Diego, but he preferred it not be a work trip. For some time now I’ve had a box of change I’ve been meaning to take to the bank. Well, He told me today was the day to cash it and put it in a joint vacation savings account. It wasn’t much, but it was the start to my “map” for meeting one of his/our desires. The rest of that “map” is in His hands.
Contact with my husband was again minimal due to sleeping and working, but what little contact we did have was positive. I am thanking God for being so “loud” today. Going to end with a quote out of my devotions—“God tries our faith so that we may try His faithfulness"
Gotta LOVE when He is loud for us. Makes life SOOO much easier!
All thing working together, nothing by chance. A few days ago your husband told you that he wants to take a vacation with you, and you remembered it for this dare. Fantastic. Praise Him on high!
When we are still and wait in Him, the blessings are always there for us.
