Love is honorable

Day 15 Love is honorable:

I was rearranging my kitchen this weekend and the idea on how to accomplish this dare came to me. My wife left behind a bunch of recipes that she printed off. I went to a scrapbooking store and bought her a recipe book. I organized her recipes and when I drop off our daughter later today I will slip it into her car. I never did things like this for her. This idea just came to me and I think that it shows I am placing her above me. She loves to cook and she always said she should organize her recipes. It does make me sad that I could never think enough of her to do these things when she was here.

  • Praise God! That is a very sweet and honorable gesture. If only all of us made different choices when we were NOT in this place with our spouses, but now we are working towards it -  with Christ as our focus. It only gets better from here! Those ideas will keep coming - the Holy Spirit guiding you.

  • Thank you so much Jenn.  The past couple of days have been trying.  Sometimes keeping my head up is nearly impossible.  Nearly.

  • ...and you will have those days, but remember you are NOT alone. God's plans for your life far exceed the circumstance of your day. Keep doing what you are doing. You've got this!

  • That is the sweetest thing.  I think Jenn will agree (as she is better than I at the patience thing LOL) that as time goes on and your focus is on HIm and you are leading your heart to HIm, that the pain that gets you low will bounce off a bit better (hope that makes sense)  God has this...you are His hands and feet.  Thank you for sharing this.

  • Not only do you think of these things now. Here is the kicker. When you do them they do not seem like chores like they would in the past. LOL...
