Day 13 - Done

  • Comments 2

today was not an easy day at all.

I saw that my wife finally took down our large wedding photo that was up in our dining room. I felt like I was hit by a bus when I saw that. The pain was unimaginable.

I decided to take the root of setting up my own argument rules since I can't really talk to her at this stage.

But I will still carry on with my journey as to grow more in Christ.

God Bless you all.

  • Put no thought into her taking down the picture.  It's just a way of her showing she's in control and trying to get under your skin.  And provoke you so you will react negatively and she can say, See, you're the same old person, you haven't changed a bit.

She could have also taken it down to help her justify her behavior.

Really, taking the picture down is not as big a deal as you think.  It is really to be expected.  Let Christ comfort you vs finding comfort if the picture was still there.

  • I imagine that is painful. Just like taking the wedding rings off. There has to be ways for them to justify what they are doing. They will search high and low for those ways until they run out. Excuse after excuse until they are all proved wrong.

Just continue to treat her like Christ would. With love and compassion. She is in a much worse place than you so all your pain can be magnified for her, whether she admits it or not.

I thought a song would fit this situation instead of a Bible verse today.

What a friend we have in Jesus,

all our sins and griefs to bear!

    What a privilege to carry

    everything to God in prayer!

Oh, what peace we often forfeit,

oh, what needless pain we bear,

all because we do not carry

    everything to God in prayer.
