Collaborate without boundaries

I can't go to a church service without thinking about my wife. It seems like everything the preacher says applies to her. Heck, it applied to me up until last year. I can't believe I used to sit and listen to sermons and not drop to my knees right there on the spot and beg God to forgive me and save me. Now it's hard to watch other people in the same situation I used to be in. And my wife doesn't even go to church so she doesn't even know what she is missing. I love to learn about the Bible but the more I learn the more I see wrong with the world. It's bittersweet. I worry terribly about other souls.

Proverbs 3:5-6 was put in front of me today so I'll be adding it to the war room. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." And from now on I'm going to try my best to apply it. Stop worrying about things. Trust God. He will make my path straight. It's true so I just need to stop doubting and start trusting in Him completely.

I added a link below to a clip from the movie Paul Apostle of Christ. I think it's the greatest scene in movie history because of a couple of things. When Mauritius asks Paul if he doubts Christ Paul says men don't die for things they doubt. It's chilling. Then when Mauritius points out that he's in jail, has been beaten, and his life is terrible Paul responds with "I deserve worse." I deserve worse!!! I think Ill make that my motto and I'll definitely put it in the war room. I do deserve worse.

  • Eddie we all are seeing you grow. I see the same thing in my past. I was so presumptuous of God's grace and didn't believe that he is faithful to save and punish. I don't have a war room but I have a spot next to my bed that I use and I spread my notes infront of me on the bed.

That Proverb is one that the Lord hit me with back in February, but I didn't understand how to apply it till much later. I had to fall flat a few times to get it. I hope you can latch on eazer. "Worry is a mild case of atheism" LOL my father in law said this over and over so it was really engraind in my mind, but again application was slow.

Thanks for the video clip it is a great scene, I have yet to see the movie though,

  • That's terrific you are so concerned about other's souls.  but make sure you do not fall into despair over other's souls.  Don't fall into despair for anything. Despair, a tool of evil, that keeps us from fully being in Christ.

I'll have to watch the clip later. I will have to see if that movie is on Amazon Prime.
