Day 40 Love is a Covenant- Done

  • Comments 1

For this dare I created a word document with my wedding vows to my wife, framed it and hung it on our bedroom wall. I don't know if she's seen it yet but it is really nice looking. One thing that saddens me is that my wife walks around the house now and refers to our room as "daddy's room" to the kids. Her mental state is depressing. It reads:

"I, Eddie, take you, Amber, to be my lawful wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and health, until death do us part."

Going along with day 39 it seems I will have to honor this until my dying breath. That's what scripture says anyway from what I understand.

  • It's the same way I view it as well, till death.  That can seem like such a depressing thought.  But, even if you live for decades married yet single, it sure will be worth it when you meet Jesus.  And a life basically single can be fulfilling.  For one, the kids will be there and two, God will never abandon you where humans can never fully satisfy your needs.

I am not sure, but I think most people do not actually end up doing this dare completely and hang the vows on the wall.  Great job doing the dares.

I think you had mentioned you would do another round.  I hope you do.
