R4D14 Love delights

Today's dare was tricky because we were running in opposite directions today.  Going into the day, I wasn't sure how I was going to get it accomplished.  However, this morning as we were drinking coffee, DH was especially talkative about work.  So rather than hurriedly getting up and leaving for the grocery store, I sat and listened.  Then this evening, he suggested sex, and I had to give up time studying my Sunday school lesson.  I willingly did so, and will get up extra early tomorrow morning to prepare.  So, I think God provided me opportunity to complete today's dare and the Spirit enabled me to see those opportunities and use them.  Sometimes, if it weren't for the fact that he has told me he wants a divorce, and the fact that we sleep in separate beds, I wouldn't know anything is wrong between us.  I am so grateful to God for the good days.

A friend of mine shared a YouTube video of a song with me today.  It is about how God loves us with a reckless love and passionately pursues us.  As fervently as l long for DH's heart, God longs for our hearts more.  And He is passionately pursuing DH right now!  Today's dare was about how love delights.  As much as I delight in DH, God delights in me infinitely more and longs that I delight in Him.  I am so grateful for my Christian sisters and brothers that are used by God to speak truth into my life and encourage me.
  • Keep staying consistent in the dares and let God continue to work in your husband as well as you, and the difference between what your husband says and what he does has potential to become the same.

  • Sometimes we have to give up our wants to satisfy others. That is love at its best. Check out this song. Love Never Fails by Brandon Heath.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
