Day 209: Love makes good impressions

Greet one another with a kiss of love.—1 Peter 5:14

TODAY’S DARE Think of a specific way you’d like to greet your spouse today. Do it with a smile and with enthusiasm. Then determine to change your greeting to reflect your love for them.

--I am not sure if I did the right thing the past couple days.  MB texted me about noon today asking me if I could come pick-up the kids (I was not supposed to pick them up until 5).  Apparently, the kids have been bored and complaining about being stuck in MB’s classroom the past two days while MB was in her meetings (Professional development day).  The kids had no school Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday.  Over the weekend, I anticipated that this would be a problem (Lincoln and Bella stuck in her classroom) and I thought about offering to MB to keep the kids with me during this time, but something was telling me to just let it be.  Plus, maybe MB wanted to be with the kids and see them throughout her day.  But I am feeling guilty that our kids had to agonize in a classroom for two days for MB to experience some “difficulty” with kids as result of what she is wanting.  A part of me felt MB needed to see this. I guess I was hoping MB would have foreseen this and would have asked beforehand if I would be willing to watch the kids during these two days.   I did reply back to MB’s text and agreed to pick-up the kids.  When I picked them up at MB’s classroom, I could tell they were more than ready to leave.  I had two gift vouchers to Dave & Buster’s, so I took them there when I picked them up; they were happy about that.  I did greet MB with a smile and enthusiasm when I picked-up the kids.

Dear Father God, I come to you in prayer for me and Mary Beth for clear direction in our life and marriage. Father God, I pray that we would seek after wisdom and godly counsel. Father God, speak to us and guide us. Remind us to put our complete trust in You and to seek after you with everything in our hearts. Give us guidance and peace in this storm much like Jesus did in the Sea of Galilee for his apostles. Give us understanding as we make decisions. Father God, may we glorify You in what we do. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen!

I am thankful to our God for: MB seeking me to help her out today; having the kids home again; and finishing another family Youtube video.
