Day 207: Love believes the best

[Love] believes all things, hopes all things.—1 Corinthians 13:7

TODAY’S DARE For today’s dare, get two sheets of paper. On the first one, spend a few minutes writing out positive things about your spouse. At some point during the remainder of the day, pick a positive attribute from the first list and thank your spouse for having this characteristic.

-- Today I was able to see MB. We met to hand over Bella and Lincoln. It was uneventful, I was kind and respectful as normal.  It was a quick exchange because it was so cold and windy.

Just a prayer for today: Dear Father God, thank you for reconciling me to yourself. I am in awe of your great love for me. I know I don’t deserve what You have offered me and I know I certainly could never earn it. Thank you for loving me unconditionally. Your love is powerful and it has forever changed me. Father God, I pray that I can experience that same kind of love with Mary Beth. It is very challenging to love unconditionally, but You have provided an amazing example and are teaching me every day. Father God, please equip me to love Mary Beth like You love her. Help me stay focused on the positive attributes of Mary Beth, Your beautiful creation.  Fill my heart with compassion, patience, and sincerity. I pray that as I love Mary Beth our relationship is restored into something amazing that glorifies the kingdom of God.

Also, You say in Your word that as iron sharpens iron so one man sharpens another. I want to be a good influence on other men, other husbands, coworkers. I want to sharpen as much as I am being sharpened. Father God, use me in the lives of the men that you have put around me and use them to sharpen me as well. I pray that we would all be encouraging each other in our walks with You, Father God to be men and husbands of God. I pray in Jesus’ name, amen!

I am thankful to our God for: another great meeting with the “Better Together Movement” and talking about the correlation between peace/rest and faith; being able to get gas at Costco; and being able to play hide & seek with kids.

There will be NO divorce in my marriage, Lincoln and Bella will see mommy come home in Jesus name!!!!
