Delight yourself in the Lord; and He will give you the desires of your heart.—Psalm 37:4

TODAY’S DARE

Ask yourself what your mate would want if it was obtainable. Commit this to prayer, and start mapping out a plan for meeting some (if not all) of their desires, to whatever level you possibly can.

-- Today’s dare reminds me of how God commands us to walk as Jesus walked and model His love for others…and that I will continue to be the light.

Father God, I come to You for help.  I know that marriage is a gift and a treasure, designed perfectly by You.  Thank you, Father God, for Your patience to hear me when I cry-out to You and comfort me when I see no way through.  Father God, help me hold tightly to the promise that You love me infinitely more than I could ever love Mary Beth.  Father God, I praise You for proclaiming the impossible over my life when I feel hopeless.  Father God, forgive me for the blessings I took for granted in my marriage.  Father God, thank you for giving me Mary Beth to share my life with - for better or for worse.  Father God, thank you for the opportunities to learn and grow with Mary Beth.  I know Mary Beth has not seen what You have taught me lately, but I know that day will come once You believe I am ready.  Father God, I acknowledge You are greater than any of our marital problems.  Father God, please help me continue to fine tune what You have taught me and continue to love Mary Beth.  Father God, forgive me for holding Mary Beth accountable for a love I can only receive from You.  Father God, YOU ARE LOVE, I am not.  Father God, help me to remember You can pick me up when I am down.  Bless my marriage with a special friendship rooted in Your Word and love.  Father God, keep my heart and tongue soft so that I can hear and speak to Mary Beth openly and honestly when the time comes.  Likewise, soften Mary Beth’s heart and tongue so that she can see me as a safe place to release her feelings. Father God, when the opportunities arise, help me listen to Mary Beth’s words and to set aside any anger, hurt, or frustrations that may surface.  Father God, send Your Holy Spirit to guide me in daily prayer for our marriage and touch Mary Beth, that she also will offer a prayer to You for our marriage and for me.  Father God, I pray for NOT my will but YOUR will Father God...I love you & praise You in Jesus' name AMEN!

I am thankful to our God for: finally being able to work on our Alaska cruise videos; being able to attend second Saturday serve this morning; and eating a warm meal today.
