He laid down His life for us. We should also lay down our lives for our brothers.—1 John 3:16 HCSB

What is one of the greatest needs in your spouse’s life right now? Is there a need you could lift from their shoulders today by a daring act of sacrifice on your part? Whether the need is big or small, purpose to do what you can to meet the need.

--I was reminded again today and I think it was in response to my question early this morning, “how can I meet a need of MB today?”  I felt I needed to attempt something to meet a need of MB since I might see her today after school when I pick-up the kids, but I came across Psalm 46:10 where He says, “Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”  I believe as the scripture was telling me, my part in this stand for my prodigal wife is to place her at Jesus’ feet and “be still.”  Let HIM do a good work in MB, and “He will be exalted.” The restoration of my marriage is to glorify God, not me.   So, I will be still and continue in prayers.

MB has been sick…she was diagnosed with the flu this past Sunday. I did offer if there is anything I can help with if she needed.

Dear Father God, I come to you in Jesus’ name.  Thank you for your perfect timing to my questions. I thank you for your grace.  Exodus 14:14 also says that “YOU will fight for us, we need only be still.”  Father God, I ask for the supernatural patience, forgiveness, and faith I need and I know only You can provide it. Father God, thank You for your faithfulness. Thank you that You watch over Your Word to perform it. Thank you that You are at work within us causing us to desire and to do your will. You are the Lord, Almighty, and if You are for us, who can be against us?  You provide me so much encouragement. I love you, Father God, and I trust our marriage is with You.  I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.

I am thankful to our God for: being able to see the kids again at home; knowing I have great friends and neighbors; and hearing Lincoln pray tonight.
