Day 140: Love is Jesus Christ

  • Comments 1

While we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. —Romans 5:6

Dare to take God at His Word. Dare to trust Jesus Christ for salvation. Dare to pray, “Lord Jesus, I’m a sinner. But You have shown Your love for me by dying to forgive my sins, and You have proven Your power to save me from death by Your resurrection. Lord, change my heart, and save me by Your grace.”

-- This chapter states, “His love made the greatest sacrifice, to meet your greatest need." I recently heard in a sermon from John Gray regarding "Fight for the Family" say, "God uses marriage to maximize our capacity". I believe I have the capacity to love well and by keeping my focus on Jesus and strengthening my relationship with Him makes loving so much easier. I believe it is so much easier to love when He is filling us up. John Gray also said, "Your marriage should be filled so with the presence of God that people want to get saved just by looking at the two of you." I pray for our marriage to be filled with the very presence of God. I agree with this dare, Love is Jesus Christ. I pray He continues to pour His love into me as I seek Him, trust Him, and then and only then can I pour His love into MB who I know is a gift from God.

BTW, this morning, I sent MB an email introducing the idea of attending the workshop I mentioned in Day 138. I do not have any expectations from MB, other than I know it will likely take a lot more convincing. I will give her a few days to see if she responds, and then I plan to follow-up with her and see if she has given any thought to the idea or if she wants me to send her more information.

  • If she responds negatively to your invitation, do not take it personally.  It's Christ's fight, not yours to win.  And thank God for that, since He's by far the better fighter or fixer upper.
