Day 129: Love makes good impressions

Greet one another with a kiss of love.—1 Peter 5:14

Think of a specific way you’d like to greet your spouse today. Do it with a smile and with enthusiasm. Then determine to change your greeting to reflect your love for them.

-- Today was a day of zero communication with no possible contact between me and MB.  I did consider leaving a voice message today with a warm and friendly greeting, but to me, the risk of having communication shut down on a dare for a pleasant greeting was just is not worth it (per her email on Day 123). I was just not feeling it was a smart contact. So, I just think I should wait on God to tell me, until then, I will be still and continue to pray.

Throughout this journey, I have reached many points where I have told myself, okay I’ve got this figured out…I have learned what God wanted me to learn…what more can there be?  And just when I start to think those things, God steps in and propels me to another level.   I am amazed how God continues to teaches me new things, reveals new revelations, and helps me understand things better.  I believe this weekend was another one of His encounters.  It is nice to know God is not finished yet. I am so grateful.

  • We will always be learning because we can never be like Christ. We can only strive to be. It's daily growth. Smart contact is the best thing to do because while we have smart contact God is working behind the scenes. No matter what we think things will change someday. It may me weeks, months or even years but to God it's all just a vapor. Good to see your faith in Him.

  • Good to see you're continuing to grow.  That's great.  When the growth plateaus, seek new ways to grow.  It is a lifelong journey.  As Eddie said, we can never be 100% Christ, yet we need to keep decreasing, while He increases in us.

And the more comfort you find in Christ it becomes easy to ease up in the growth.  We can get comfortable then we tend to forget Who got us there.
