Day 7: Love believes the best

[Love] believes all things, hopes all things.

—1 Corinthians 13:7

For today’s dare, get two sheets of paper. On the first one, spend a few minutes writing out positive things about your spouse. Then do the same with negative things on the second sheet. Place both sheets in a secret place for another day. There is a different purpose and plan for each. At some point during the remainder of the day, pick a positive attribute from the first list and thank

your spouse for having this characteristic.

Love Dare #7, requires that I make a list of positive attributes of MB.  I made a list of 30 items.  I made of list of negative items too. It says to pick one positive and thank her for having that characteristic.  Since I did not see her today, I sent her this as a text message:

“ and the kids were working on and talking about chores this past weekend.  It reminded me how much patience you have with them.  Thank you for having patience with them!”

She responded:

“Of course. They are and continue to grow into amazing little people!”

  • I realize you weren't going to see her to do the dare and it's good you didn't put it off, but could you have called vs texting her?

It's nice to get a nice response text back.  But there is a drawback to these nice texts back to us.  Because we can enjoy the nice response and this can draw us more toward our spouse for comfort vs only looking unto Christ for comfort and peace.

Enjoy the text she sent and let God know you enjoy Him all the more.
