  • Hi, I'm new to this but I'm here. My wife will not talk to me moved in with her parents and never let me know anything was wrong. I have been shunned by my church, that is made up of mostly my wife's relatives. I have moved in with my parents because living in my house is too painful.

Well here I am, on day 7 and believing the best, last I heard she didn't want divorce, but as she is shunning me with the church I don't know what she is thinking. this has been going on for 4 months now. I bought The Love Dare back in February and started then got to 20 and stopped. last Sunday I started again, I felt like God wanted me to stop when I did and restart. I have been going through a Wilderness Experience and a good friend gave me a book by Steve Farrar called "Finishing Strong"  I think everyone in our situation should read this book, it is geared toward men but the principals are the same.

I am so thankful for the saving grace of my Lord and savior Jesus. At the start of this situation I was not following Him, I believe I was saved but living a hidden carnal life. The shock of her not coming home took my knees out and I landed on my face before my God and started praying. With no contact from my wife I have been spending a lot of time in the Word and asking God to make me His, He is faithful to finish the work he has begun in you.

  • Welcome.  Realize this is a journey between you and Christ, not you and your wife.  She will be used as a tool to mold you. Do a dare a day, no more, no less. Do the dares as they are intended to be done without changing them to make them easier.  Do not have expectations of her when you do the dares.  IN fact it may get worse before it gets better.  But this serves purpose.  Do not read ahead in the book other than the appendix, especially about leading the heart.

Try journaling in The Love Dare Journal section, if you click on the community tab, you will see the journal section.  That sectdion gets responded to much more than this section.  Come back here if you can not figure out how to journal there.
