well my spouse is not living with me so I have to be creative with a lot of these I sent an email, his response was what you can do for me is sign the divorce papers when they come.
so many people have just told me to let him go he is not worth it... but I can see beyond what they see and I know that God doesn't look at him as a jerk or whatever they want to call him. a pastor said Anita he comes with a lot of baggage. well who doesn't we are human after all. I remember the story of the tapestry where you are on the bottom of it looking up at the underside it is ugly and full of knots strings here and there hanging, not pretty to look at. but the maker GOD sees and knows the finished result a beautiful tapestry. I have seen my spouses heart and I know the beauty that lies there, it is hidden at the moment under a lot of strings and knots but the beauty is there.
anyone else have a spouse that is not there and how do you complete the dares if they do not co-operate?
Anita, this journey is for you and Christ. Leave your husband to God to deal with. Remember, you have tried to do this on your own all this time. And look where it got you. You cannot do this alone, trust God and allow him to mold you the way he wants you. I assure you, during this he will work on your spouse. A big part of this journey is being humble. Being creative. Rejection is even bigger. How can you learn to be humble without the rejection? And I will tell you this. If you keep putting you focus on your husband, you are not putting God first. And remember we have a jealous God. I have written a number of journals that may give you some insight. Please take a look at them.
Anita, in addition to looking at Sean's journals, I recommend to look at some of the journals under Day 1, they will give you some insight and let you know you are not alone. There is a member on the site whose husband told her he wanted her to give him back the time he wasted on his marriage (ouch) and they are reconciling. Hang in there. The dares are hard. and Sean is right. this journey is for you and Jesus.
