  • As I am nearing the close of this 40 day journey, i know i will start it again.

It has been hurtful and blissful but I am forever thankful for everything I've learnt along the way.

It doesn't matter if my husband and I get back together, because I have been learning to CHOOSE to be the beautiful person God intended me to be...

I still have such a long way to go but instead of being afraid or skeptical I am confident in the Power God wields in this world, and how powerful my prayers to Him are...

My husband and I are (tentatvely) getting along, and he has done things that he never did before... such as call me if he's going to be late or loading the dishwasher without me asking...

I know I only need God in my life and everything will get better... I have also encouraged my friends to do the dare...

I have asked my husband to pray with me before, and he refused, i'll ask him again tonight to join me... I hope he changes his mind...

I made a huge realisation when my husband didn't join me for Christmas, that I need to put God first so that God may grant me the desires in my heart...

Each small realisation has made such a HUGE impact on my life and the way I lead it...

I pray I never lose these lessons, and that's why I will continue doing the dares daily, for the constant reminder that things can be very bad or very good... and the way I live will be the decider of that...

  • Well, I spoke to hubby about us praying together and he said no, his prayer time is his personal time with God and has nothing to do with me...

I didn't know how to respond to that so let it be...

  • If you feel up to it, the next time you ask him about praying together, let him know that being one in a marriage as God intended, is a commitment to have love in Christ together including in prayer.

  • i will try telling him this... I am starting on Day 1 again...

  • I will be right behind you on Day 1 again soon, before the weekend. My wife flew out today so I have no idea how and if He will direct me to ask her about praying together. I too have learned so much, but the challenge to take up the Cross is tested daily, as my Day 37 post later will tell.

  • And how did it go

  • very very tough... it's like starting it afresh with no knowledge... I feel so ignorant sometimes...

  • No need to fell that way. Seek the blessings of growing in Christ.
