  • I have to admit I am disappointed with myself.  For quite a while in my Christian life I was very good about getting up and reading the bible, journaling and keeping up with my own recovery.  I slowed down sometimes stopping somewhere along the way. The good thing is that I have picked up spending my time with God again.  I have been in his word almost every day.  Prayer is becoming more than just a once a day thing.

Yesterday  I read my bible in the morning, read my love dare, and started my day.  I had a bit of a tough time through out the day and picked up my phone with a bible app and read sporadically when I could/and when I needed it.  I am trying to "take captive every thought and make it obedient to Christ" so when my habit of negative thinking tries to rear its ugly head I have a few verses bookmarked to help me see the Truth in Christ.   Anyway, I went about my day as normal. My daughter spent the night at my parents because she was out of school, so I made a new dinner for my husband and I and got a movie ready for us to watch.  It was a nice relaxing evening.   I saw many opportunities that I could have used to bring up/rehash old thougths or ways of behaving.  God gave me the grace to let it go, even if just for one day.  Thank you God for your Grace, Thank you God for Your Mercy, Thank you for Your Love. Thank you for always being there for me!

  • Why be disappointed? Without that fall you may not have found the dare.

You are building a much better life with Christ now. You are learning more about Christ and your walk with Him. When we plateau in our walk we tend to fall. You have learned that now.

The best part is, you are learning to be a testimony to others and working for His glory.

Praise Him for sticking with you and knowing He has a plan that will never let you go.
