  • Day one turned out to be a great day. Kim and I watched our online church that we have not done in a long time. Surprisingly our church is on a series called Relationship Boot camp a study of Ephesians 5. www.centralonline.tv . It talked about how you need to be friends with your partner over anything else. If there is no friendship then your relationship will not last. I have not been putting her as a friend. We talked about it and came up with great ideas that will help our relationship. For Day 2 I will do my best to be positive. She is going hiking with her friend and our 2 year old son this morning and I was a bit jealous because I had to go to work, I wished her for amazing weather and scenery. I think she was shocked at how positive I was about her enjoyment, but her smile is what is making my day feel special. Tonight we have dinner plans at her sisters. I might swing an unexpected gesture there.

  • I can understand about being friends. However a marriage is more than that to the point of you both being one. The oneness Christ intended for marriage goes way beyond what friends could ever be. Oneness lets you always know whatever you do effects the other even in the smallest ways.

As you go on this journey you will find out many things not only about your spouse but more importantly about yourself. God will expose many things to you.

Take a few minutes. Make sure you read the appendix.
