My wife wants to walk away from our marriage after the first 2 years. We are currently living seperately at her request. I started the Love dare 3 days ago and its nice to have something to keep my mind on rather than let it run aimlessly. Day 1 i felt God actually almost testing me with my patience, day 2 i thought went good but unsure. I was out christmas shopping in the same region she works so i texted her to tell her i was shopping in the area and offered if i could pick her up a tea or coffee. I got a "no thank you" as her reply. I go to "our" house where she is living while she is at work to take care of our dog and i went back and she had put up some of the christmas lights, so i took it apon myself to put up the remainder. I didnt get any reponse from her which i was fine with. However today i recieved a text from her asking me to start tossing around ideas as to what i want to do with our house. We have had our issues and alot of them stemmed from myself and my attitude but i didnt see that until she told me she wanted to leave me. i never knew we had this serious of an issue until she dropped that on me. Whether it was bad communication or anything it really came out of the blue to me. need some prayer here.
CDK.... Our prayers will be with you.
This dare is a journey between you and Christ. And through it you will learn the true ways to love through Christ. If you have not done so, take a few moments and read in the appendix, especially the section on leading the heart. Very important during this journey.
Also, if you have not watched fireproof the movie, I would recommend it very much.
Please come here each day and communicate with others that have been on this journey, it helps so much...
I have been seperated for almost 3 months..and i want my wife back, but she does not. I started the Love Dare, but did not get far.
I wanted to see how it was going while being seperated (living in different houses).
I know and understand what you are going through. I need prayers and help as well.
CDK.... You need to get back to the dare. Come here each day, we will help wherever we can.
The dare is a journey not a fix all. It will teach you the true meaning of love. One that can only be had through Christ, and learning that love can and will change all things.
i dont live with my spouse either, and i sent him a text message yesterday and today and its Day 2...he ignores it all :( the feeling is not good at all....
is this love dare going to work ?
Why text? Is that just easier?
The dare does work. If you take it seriously and understand its meaning. My first question would be did you see the movie fireproof?
If not, I would suggest you see it ASAP. Alone, with no interruptions.
