  • I really wish I had been able to arrange for this dinner to have been just the two of us.  Unfortunately I had arranged for a sitter the day before.  We ended up cooking the dinner together and talking all day.  I had decided to make Lasagna for dinner and I had not made it in a while.  I make my own special sauce and it takes several hours to simmer.  We cooked. and played games, and talked all day.  It was so cool.  I wish it could have been more romantic.  That is one area that I really would like to see changed.  I realized that a couple of days ago when reading about intercession.  I can't change him or this, but I will be praying for this.

I think I need to talk try to understand what goes on in his mind more.  I found out about his struggles with worry and compounding worries.  He (and his family he says) just dwell on things so much.  I wish I could help him with this. I tried to encourage him to pray about this.

Overall it was an enjoyable evening.
  • Jenni,

I do not think that it is you need to find out about what is in his mind more. Your journey is the best thing for him. As you grow with Christ. You will become more and more a testimony to him.

The best way I can explain this is. My brother a great Christian. Was there for me as I was going through this. He once told me, Trust Christ and He will bless the desires of your heart. Here is the funny part. I thought that meant that I would get my wife back.

It didn't. Deep down we all have a desire to be TRULY happy, to be loved and to love.

All the worries I used to have. Money, Marriage, family, kids.... They were gone. all of them.

When you trust Christ any of these concerns or worries you leave with Christ. He comforts you. And I cannot begin to explain the happiness within my life no matter what is going on. I lost a significant revenue stream, been audited, I can go on. But I know Christ will provide through each and even thing.

As you grow in Christ and these things become of you, your husband will notice and desire that for himself....
