Well when I read this one I knew right off what I wanted to do. She is an ER nurse and is on her feet for 12+ hrs straight all the time so a foot rub is something she had always asked for and commonly got denied because I was to busy and had to get to the shop or just didnt want to. I was surprised and hurt when I went to follow through with it though. I had went and got her favorite lotion and had it sitting on the end table for when she got home. she came in and did her normal routine (check on the baby and such) when she sat down I offered a jesture of rubbing her feet and she withdrew them, I thought she was being silly at first but she was not, She didnt want a foot rub :( I was crushed but I let it go and said ok. Same thing the next day, I did some little things around the house just to hopefully improve the mood and be able to finish the dare but ended in the same result. I was befusseled and was ready to move onto something else but my heart wanted to do something familar that had been neglected for some time now, and as innocent as it may be just the chance of being "intimate" with her so I stayed fast and to my surprise on the 3rd day of trying to complete this dare she asked if the foot rub was still available with kind of a smile. I have to be honest I was estatic but did poke a little fun at her and said oh yeah now ya want it in a laughing voice, but was more than willing. so she stretched out on the couch handed me the lotion and almost fell asleep during her foot rub which was a good thing my hands were so tired but I couldnt stop. Thank You for the simple things in life Lord.
Rb, You have to expect rejection for even the littlest things. And if you are rejected dont push it. That is all part of the journey. As you see, she came to you when you didn't ask.
